Our Fundamental Beliefs:
- Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God, who died for our sins and rose from the dead. Salvation is found in no one else. (Acts 4:12, 1 Corinthians 15:3-5)
- The entire Bible is the inspired and inerrant word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
- Everyone is guilty of sin and in need of a savior. (Romans 3:23)
- Grace, in the form of forgiveness of sins, is available to everyone through Jesus the Son of God. (John 3:16)
- God’s plan of salvation is through faith, repentance of sins, confession of Jesus as Lord, baptism & the reception of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38)
- The Church is the body of Christ on earth. (Ephesians 4:4-6)
- Members of the body of Christ are both called to be disciples and go and make disciples of all nations. (Matthew 28:18-19)
PRAYER
We believe in the power and connectivity of Prayer. Prayer is a form of serving God.
God commands us to pray (Philippians 4:6-7). Prayer is exemplified for us by Christ and the early church (Mark 1:35; Acts 1:14; 2:42; 3:1; 4:23-31; 6:4; 13:1-3). If Jesus thought it was worthwhile to pray, we should also. If He needed to pray to remain in the Father’s will, how much more do we need to pray? Another reason to pray is that God intends prayer to be the means of obtaining His solutions in a number of situations. Please let us know if we can pray for you, or with you. Contact us HERE or leave a Prayer Request HERE. |
SERVING
We believe in helping each other, serving within the church, and serving our community. Christ came to serve, not to be served. (Matt 20:28, Mark 10:45, John 13:1-17)
Currently, we partner with several organizations to serve in the community including: > The James Project > Midwest Mission Distribution Center > Kumler Outreach Ministries > Another Chance Services There are several ways to get connected and serve within our church as well. Please contact us if you would like to get involved with any aspect of serving. |
MEETING TOGETHER
There are several ways to get and say connected at the Springfield Church: Service, Life Groups, and Cross Training Groups.
We believe in meeting together in order to pray, serve, teach, train, build each other up, and help each other through this life. (Matt 18:20, Heb 10:24-25, Col 3:16, 1 Cor 14:26)
> Sunday Service meets every Sunday.
> Life Groups meet at a Life Group Leader's home during the week (usually a Wednesday night - also known as Midweek Service).
> Cross Training Groups are groups of 3 people who are committed to staying in contact with each other and meeting regularly during the month at a time/day determined by those within the group. Cross Training Groups are a great way to stay connected and go deeper in your relationship with God, Jesus, and other people. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. (Heb 10:24-25)
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thes 5:16-18)
Contact Us to get involved and connected. We can not do this life alone and were never intended to do it solo.
